Job Description
boulette, PLLC is seeking an associate attorney with 1–3 years of litigation experience (including time spent in clerkships). You will become part of a close-knit team supporting clients in appeals, complex family law litigation, and mission-driven pro bono work. The position will be hybrid, with in-office time dedicated principally to mentorship, learning, and collaboration.
This position will largely involve:
- Researching and analyzing legal arguments on a variety of appellate and district court matters;
- Legal drafting including memoranda, briefs, judgment and decrees, affidavits, and other documents required to support clients in litigation;
- Routine court appearances as well as second chairing more complex trials;
- Preparing and responding to discovery and working with clients to compile information; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Law degree and admission to the Minnesota bar;
- 1 – 3 years of litigation or clerkship experience (familiarity with family law preferred but not required);
- Strong analytical and legal research skills and the ability to draw connections across multiple areas of law;
- Developed communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to a variety of audiences;
- Ability to work as part of a team; and
- Commitment to pro bono and community service and experience working with and across diverse communities.
Anticipated Salary Range and Benefits
Starting salaries range from $130,000 - $150,000 per year depending on experience with the opportunity for bonuses based on firm profitability. Benefits include health insurance and 401(k) retirement savings.
